Forex - Understanding The Difference Between Mini-account & Standard Account Forex Trading
In forex, for the retail investor, things are totally different than the banks and institutions who trade with each other 24 hours per day on a daily basis and in the millions with actual transactions occuring (usually 2-3 days later also known as the Spot Value).
Investment banks will take out a credit check on each other, a bit like when a person applies for a mortgage. Whilst currency trades are placed and completed real-time either by computerised system or telephone, the actual transfer of funds happens a couple of days later.
However, with the retail forex trader, usually, the trade is only placed in the brokers books and no real transfer of funds occurs, although the retail investor is in effect trading with the banks at almost the same quotes and with a very similar spread these days.
So who is the forex broker and what is their relevence in the answer to this forex topic? The retail investor places their trades through the environment of the margin broker. Trades are placed in real time and via a trader who receives the order from the investor, either buy (long), sell (short) or close position.
The broker not only allows retail investors to trade forex live with the banks, but also provides a system of leverage. This means that the broker only requires a deposit to represent the amount of currency a person wants to control, so long as the deposit is enough to cover any losses that might be incurred by the trade.
Take for example a margin leverage of 100:1 given to you by the broker. This means to control $100,000 of real currency (1 lot), you need to provide security to the broker of only $1000. Each 'pip' movement in price will cause your equity to increase or decrease by $10. For example if the currency pair you are trading is GBP/USD (also known as cable) and the price you are quoted is 1.8484, this means 1 UK pound sterling is equal to 1.8484 US dollars.
So, if you are controlling 100,000 units of currency (or you have placed a buy/sell forex trade of '1 lot')in the above case, each time the price changed by 1 pip - ie. 1.8484 changes to 1.8485 - you gain or lose $10 US. This is because 0.0001 x 100,000 = 10 and you have opted to control 100,000 units of currency.
The amazing thing though is that you as a retail trader have only used a security measure of $1000 deposited with the broker in your brokering account and the only cost for placing the trade is a small spread (no comission in many cases) of say 2-3 pips in which the broker makes his profit regardless of whether your trade is successful or not. And the chances of you losing that entire $1000 in the trade are extremely slim, especially if you use risk management and safeguard your capital from losses by setting a "stop loss" - a topic out of the scope of this article.
So what about mini-forex trading. It's a subject which many people seem to want to know about. What is a mini-forex trading account? What is mini forex trading? Mini Forex trading is quite simple to explain given the above information. In light of the information that is told to you above about retail forex trading in general, the use of a mini-account is exactly that!
Rather than trading 1 whole lot each time (ie controlling 100,000 units of currency using only 1000 units of security or deposit to trade for a profit of about $10 per pip depending on the forex currency pair you and trading) you can use a mini-account (sometimes this is entirely indistinguishable from a standard account) to trade a fraction of a lot. This could technically be as little as 0.1 lot (ie $1 profit per pip) or half a lot - $5 profit per pip etc. This is the authors understanding of mini-forex-trading.
In conclusion then, mini forex trading is explained away by understanding what a 'lot' is in forex. Once you understand that forex is traded in 'lots' and what '1 lot' means to the investment banker/forex trader in the bank and to the retail investor using margin leverage provided by a broker, you can understand that mini-forex trading is forex trading on a mini-scale. Instead of trading in lots or multiples of lots (more than one) the retail investor uses a smaller deposit with the broker and trades for less profit, but less risk as well and not needing so much profit to start out with, eg 0.1 lots or 0.5 lots. Some forex brokers these days will allow currency trading with a deposit of as little as $500 into a customers account.

Profitable Forex Trading Strategies By: Andrew Daigle
By far regarded as the largest and the busiest market, the Forex market has tremendous profit potential. The Forex currency market is a lot different from the stock market and you need to have a very good understanding about the way this market functions. Its not surprising that there's a lot being said and written about Forex currency trading. In fact, those who are keen on mastering Forex trading skills can actually take up a Forex trading course and get formal Forex education. Before you set out to trade in the Forex market or the Foreign Currency Exchange Market, you must make sure that you have done plenty of research, studied historical trends, analyzed existing trends, and worked out profitable Forex trading strategies that can boost your Forex trade.
There is no standard strategy that can be safely applied when it comes to Forex currency trading. Basically, what may work for one may not necessarily fit your trading needs and you must therefore devise your own strategies that can guarantee success in the long run. You need to first analyze the market using a technical analysis approach or the fundamental analysis approach to plan your moves. While technical analysis refers to forecasting future movement based on past performance, fundamental analysis refers to studying current accounts and impact of imports and exports on currency flow.
Understanding how volatile this market is, every experienced trader understands that it is not practically possible to generate profits from every trade. However, as you study this market closely, you will be able to work out better strategies that can minimize your risk levels.
Use surplus money for trading
This market is speculative and "timing a trade' is crucial. Even a slightest mistake can cost you a lot of money. So, make sure that you use only surplus money in order to save yourself from financial wreck. One of the biggest mistakes many traders do is staking all their money in a single trade. If you are not sure, go for margin trading to enjoy more leverage.
Do some market research
Consult your financial advisor or a Forex broker who can tell you the exact status of the Forex market. You need to understand whether current trend is upwards or downwards, is it strong or weak, and how long has this trend been going on or is a new trend in the making. A trade without prior market research can lead to financial disasters.
Decide the time frame for trading
As a smart Forex trader, you must have a time frame in mind beyond which you wont like to trade and also decide an approximate exit price. This gives you a proper perspective and helps you to plan your Forex trade more efficiently. You need to therefore decide whether you would like to go for long term trading or intra-day trading. This will help you to determine which approach you must adopt for research and analysis. For instance, for someone trading several times a day, a daily graph analysis will be useless and the trader will require thirty minute or hour graphs to plan his exit. Another important factor that you need to take into account is the time periods when different financial companies enter and exit the foreign exchange market in order to study the market trends.
Choosing the right time to trade Timing is everything when it comes to Forex trading and once you have understood the market trends you need to immediately plan an entry. Rely on technical analysis to time your move and predict market movements.
If you are not sure about which Forex trading strategy to use, find a good Forex broker who can handle your financial portfolio for you

Forex Currency Trading - Frequently Asked Questions By: Michael Mancini
FOREX stands for the FOReign EXchange market, which is an international financial market where currencies are traded. The foreign exchange market began in the 1970s and is now the largest financial market in the world, with an average daily turnover of US$1.9 trillion. That's thirty times the amount of daily activity on all of the US stock exchanges.
Each Forex trade involves simultaneously buying one currency and selling another. For example, if you think that the Euro will rise relative to the dollar, you would place a Euro/Dollar trade. The forex system would then buy the Euro and sell an equivalent amount of the Dollar. Then, when you want to close your position, you would place a Dollar/Euro trade. This would buy the Dollar and sell the Euro. If the Euro had risen against the Dollar, you would make a profit, but if it had fallen relative to the Dollar you would make a loss.
What currencies are traded?
Most of the world's currencies are available to trade, but the majority of market action involves a group of major currencies, including the US Dollar, the Euro, the Yen, the Swiss Franc and Sterling.
Where is the Forex market located?
Unlike most financial markets around the world, Forex is not centralized on an exchange. Instead it operates on a basis known as the interbank market or Over the Counter (OTC). As each Forex trade involves two reciprocal trades (buy one currency and sell another), these are conducted electronically with any broker who is willing to accept the trade.
Who can trade in the Forex market?
Traditionally, access to currency trading was restricted to banking organisations, including central banks, commercial banks and investment banks. That's the reason it operates on a system known as the interbank market.
However, the number of non bank participants in the Forex market, which includes multinational companies, money managers, money brokers and private speculators, is growing rapidly. And thanks to the relatively small amount of capital required to open a trading account (often $500) Forex is opening up to more and more people all the time. If you're over 18, have internet access the enough money to open a trading account, the world of Forex is open to you.
When is the Forex market open for trading?
As Forex doesn't exist within a traditional exchange, it's the only 24 hour financial market in the world. Forex trading begins every day in Sydney and then moves around the globe as the major international financial markets in Tokyo, London and New York open.
In other words, there are always traders somewhere in the world who are actively trading foreign currencies. This means you can make trades and respond to major social, economic and political events day or night. However, there is a short rest period from close of trading on the American financial market on Friday until trading begins in Australia on Monday morning. However, due to the time differences around the globe, this period only lasts for approximately 48 hours.
What is a trading margin?
Forex trades are made in lots of $100,000. If you had to provide that amount of money to cover your position before you could trade, the market would once again be restricted to banks and other institutional investors. So brokers have established the principle of margin trading. In effect they allow people to trade $100,000 blocks of currency if they can provide an element of security against potential losses.
For example, they may allow people to trade on a margin of 1% (in comparison, traditional stock brokers often require a 50% margin). This means that they can trade $100,000 blocks, provided their account contains at least $100,000 x 1% = $1000. One thousand dollars will protect the broker against any potential losses that their client makes (currency values rarely fluctuate by more than 1% in a single day). If a client's account is reduced by losses (i.e. reducing the broker's security below acceptable levels), the broker will close all trades and require an additional deposit before further trades can be made.
Trading margin allows people to control vast amounts of currency wiith relatively small amounts of capital (often 50, 100 or even 200 times the amount of capital that they have invested). This can lead to massive gains, but increases the risk of losing most or all of your investment capital.
How much does it cost?
Thanks to the trading margin offered by most Forex brokers, it's possible to open an account and get started trading with a relatively small amount of capital.
Forex trades are made in lots of $100,000. However, most Forexs brokes will provide you with a leverage ratio of up to 100:1, which means that you have the ability to control a $100,000 trade with as little as $1000 in your account. Some brokers will provide leverage of 200:1 or even 400:1, which allows you to start with as little as $500 or $250 in your account.
However, please remember that although greater leverage allows you to maximize your profit potential, it also increases the risk factor. The higher the leverage ratio, the smaller trading fluctuation that will be required to wipe out your trading capital. So choose the amount of leverage that you use wisely.
For new traders, it may be safer to begin with leverage of 20:1 or 50:1. This will increase the amount that you need to open an account, but it will reduce the risk of seeing all your trading capital disappear due to a small shift in the value of a currency.

Forex Trading and the Foreign Currency Exchange Business By: Andrew Daigle
Forex trading is one of the most exiting businesses I've ever been involved with. Forex is the business of trading one currency for another. Business today is truly international and trillions of dollars each day are converted from one currency to another. The best thing about this foreign currency exchange business is that you don't care whether a currency is going up in value or down. You can trade currencies in either direction. When you think a currency will go down, you sell or short that currency. If you think that currency will increase in value, you buy or go long that currency.
When trading currencies in the Forex market, you trade currency pairs. For example, if you choose to trade the Euro and US dollar pair (EUR/USD), you are betting one of those currencies will go up in value while the other goes down. If you're on the right side of the trade, you make money. If you're on the wrong side of the trade, you lose money. To be successful in this business, you need a good money management system. You need to let your profits run and cut your losses short. Without proper money management, Forex traders will lose their money fast.
There are two sides to Forex trading you need to know before you get started. You need to understand the Fundamental and Technical side to Forex trading. Fundamentals are news events that move the financial markets. For example, when a country raises its interest rates, that would increase the value of that currency. If a country has higher imports vs. exports, that could hurt the value of that countries currency. There are many things to consider when it comes to fundamental trading.
The other side of trading the Forex market relates to technical trading. Technicals are when you use tools like reading charts and chart patterns. Using Fibonacci studies to determine technical retracements. There are many other tools a forex trader could use as well, such as MACD, or Stochastics, trendlines etc. There are at least 20 different indicators a Forex trader could use but the most successful traders keep it simple when it comes to technical tools. More is not always better. When I trade, all I look at are moving averages and price movement. That's all I need and I consider myself a successful trader.
As you read more about this business, you'll find so many strategies people use to trade the Forex market. There are thousands of Forex strategies out there and they grow by the day. One Forex trading strategy might work for one person and it could fail for another. The trick in this business is to find the best Forex trading strategy that works for you and stick with it. Don't jump from one strategy to another without giving each one enough time to prove itself. Be patient and you will quickly find yourself getting better and better at this business.
You need to do your homework before you get started in this Forex trade. Read all you can before jumping in. When you think you have a good understanding of how it works, you should begin by paper trading. That's when you keep a Forex trading journal of trades you would take and follow them through. When you're satisfied with your success rate, then you can open up a free Forex demo trading account. This is when a Forex broker gives you access to a real Forex trading platform but you use fake money to make trades. You place trades as you would normally but you are using play money. You can demo trade for as long as you like. When your success rate is acceptable to you and you want to start trading real money, then open a live trading account and start trading. I suggest you start with a minilot account and start small at first. You will find that when you're trading real money, your brain thinks differently than with fake money.
That's about it when it comes to learning the Forex trading business. This has been one of the best businesses I've been involved with and expect to be doing this for many years to come. This business is not for everyone, but if you find it is something you enjoy and make money with, there's no better feeling than making a living sitting at your computer a few hours each day and having the rest of the day to do whatever you want.

What Is Forex Trade? By: Scott Krager
Forex is usually termed as FX in the common language abbreviations used for the Forex market. This is the biggest monetary business today. The business has its base on the trading of free money. Actually, the money is sold and purchased freely. The Foreign Exchange market started in the early 1970's when exchange rates were free and brought up in the financial market for the first time.
The method of determining the price of a currency is based on the hands of the participants. Only the traders of the market control the price of one currency against the other taking place from rule of demand and supply. Where the liberty from any outside management and free field charge struggle are concerned, the Foreign exchange market is just the right kind of market to invest and trade successfully. Any one can enter this market with small knowledge of Forex trade and start his business.
Forex trade has a daily turn over of billions and billions of dollars. Can you imagine that the Forex trade exchange market carries out more than 3 times the combined sum amount of the United States Equity and Treasury markets pooled together. It is a simple business-trading platform where sellers and buyers do the task of Forex business through dissimilar forms of communication.
Forex trade is very much unlike the trade markets, as it has no physical entity. It does not exist on any central exchange office or physical location. Since the Foreign exchange market lacks an actual exchange office, the market business rotates round the world non stop on a 24-hour basis, moving from different time zones of the world covering each of the world's chief financial cite every day. There is huge sum of money being exchanged at the Forex trade center and it is something very near to 500 trillions daily!
Even much before the Internet and ecommerce was started, banks and other big financial companies used to trade currencies in the Foreign exchange market through proprietary trading systems of monetary banks. A major set back was the starting budget, where to open account you needed an estimated around US$1 million. Well, now we are grateful to the online technology and other advancements that today people across the world are able to open the account using just some thousand dollars and can have access to the Foreign exchange market 24/7 throughout the week and half day on Saturday’s.
Forex brokers trade the currencies in this non-stop money market. People or Forex traders continuously buy and sell foreign currencies in the international markets where traders have the power to decrease or increase value of an investment on the money movements. The conditions of this money market are never stable. This is based upon the money response of different economies of the various countries around the world so it is considered a highly unpredictable and delicate market too.

Reasons why currency forex trading remains a secret By: Kevin Anderson
Forex currency trading can easily be found nowadays over the internet. If you search the net, there are numerous web sites offering hundreds of investment programs like currency forex trading, real estate, stock trading and many others.
If you ask some of the currency forex traders why they choose this trade from among the many options, the likely answer they would give is that currency forex trading is an easy way to earn money. Very safe too if done on the internet.
Currency forex trading is the most profitable internet income opportunity because you can do it at home, in the office and from any country in the world.
In currency forex trading online, you do not need to do any marketing, selling or promotion to succeed. You do not have to have hundreds of dollars to be able to open an account. And you would not be spending much also in the course of your currency trading career.
All that is needed to be done is open an account from any of the brokers with as little as $300-$2000. then all you have to do is follow the instructions given on how to go about buying and selling your currency forex trade.
When the price of the forex currency is low, start buying. If the price suddenly goes up, sell your currency and make instant and easy money. All this is done in a day. You can easily go from buying to selling your currency forex within the span of those short hours.
After having done your trade for the day, you can log off the internet and just come back on to check on what is happening to your currency forex trade and the forex market itself. No harm in checking once in a while and seeing if you need to have some actions done.
The good part about doing currency forex trading online is that you can already enter all the buy trades and their specified prices. Whenever the value of the currency forex rose and reached your desired selling price, the currency will be automatically sold for you. You just made some money and you do not know it yet. The nest time you log on to your account, you will see that you are some cash richer.
Another good thing about currency forex trading online is that you can have a permanent job and still do your currency forex work in your spare time or whenever you are available to see what has been happening.
Currency forex trading is trading the easy way. This is how the system works.
Before putting real money to open your own currency forex trade, you first have to avail of the free trial account and practice there for some time. The main purpose is to better understand how the currency forex works and to acquire the proper skills needed.
In currency forex trading, you can choose how much money you wish to invest, how much money to make and when to make it. Your computer would be your oeATM” machine that tells you the amount of money you now have available. You are the boss in the currency forex trading. You can do as you please and decide what steps to take in your every action.
Currency forex trading is the fastest and easiest way to make money online compared to other investment programs. The forex market is a daily business worth billions of dollars that is much larger than all the stock in the world combined together.
There are only some of the reasons why people choose currency forex trading over other trading and businesses that are rampant everywhere nowadays especially on the internet.
Maybe this is also why many people are not aware of currency forex trading yet. By reading more about this kind of trading, people would get to know the secret behind one of the greatest wealth on earth. Perhaps they would also know why currency forex is little known to many people and why it is kept hidden until now.
Not everybody is given the opportunity to try and enter into the currency forex trading and avail of its advantages. So currency forex traders should be glad and take the best care of their currency forex accounts.

Making Your First Successful Forex Trade By: Geri Mason
If you get of to a good start with Forex it will give you confidence and will encourage you to trade regularly.
Follow these tips to get of to the best start possible:
Making your first Forex trade can be quite an exciting event.
It also is an event that requires some planning in advance, as well as doing some checking and double-checking before you ever make that first trade.
Here are some suggestions for preparation that will help you to really get the most out of that first trading event.
Trading currency comes with a certain amount of risk.
The prudent trader will always make sure, that he or she has enough resources to be able to withstand a period where there are more losses than there are gains. From that perspective, it is important to never risk more funds than you can reasonably do without.
Examine the condition of your finances carefully, and determine the amount of your resources that can be comfortably involved in the process of currency trading without creating any financial burdens.
Keep in mind that the volume of your transactions will often come into play when it comes to purchasing currency.
Simply put, the more you can afford to buy, the better rate you are likely to command. Your circumstances will of course dictate how much you can afford to invest in a single transaction.
Individuals who are involved in currency trading will also have to keep in mind that there is the matter of that minimum margin deposit that you must be able to maintain.
You may have to begin with smaller transactions that yield less return. But keep in mind that as you grow your revenue from your currency trading efforts, you will be in a position to go for the more lucrative deals.
It is a very good idea to begin developing your strategy well before you make that first trade.
You can get a great deal of help developing that strategy by utilizing the various reports and other sources at your disposal to try some projections of your own.
Set up some test runs by structuring a currency trade on paper and watch how things would have gone had you actually made the transaction. Learn from the outcome, whether it was a win or a loss.
Either outcome can help you identify some valuable tools that will help you refine your basic strategy.
You may find that you need to include more sources of information in your decision making process.
Perhaps your simulated trades will teach you that there is a source or two that needs to be disregarded or replaced in your roster of informative sources.
The point is to refine your strategy as much as possible before you go "live" with your currency trading.
Making money and having some fun in the process are what the trading is all about.
When you perform due diligence before you ever begin you can ensure that your first Forex trade, will be a true example of what you are capable of accomplishing.
It should be noted Forex trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.

How to Identify Trending in Forex Trading By: Jason Uvios
Currencies tend to trend more and fluctuate less violently unlike stocks which behave pretty much the different way. The reason for this is not hard to understand. Currencies trend depending on the countries' foreign and economic policies which are macro economic in nature and the currency pairs take fairly long enough time to react to any change in policies. Where as stock movements are more or less determined by microeconomic factors and market sentiments.
Euro/US Dollar: On Par at the Beginning
When Euro was brought into force its exchange rate was set officially at 1 USD a Euro. At that time there existed hardly any difference between the economies of US and the European Union. US had a GDP of $11.0 billion and European Union was pretty up close there at $10.5 billion. While US economy was growing at a good rate of above 3% per annum Europe was a bit sluggish and recorded slightly over 1.5%.
Gradual Shift In Favor Of Euro
But this was not coming in the way of Euro's gradual march ahead of US Dollar. Look at other key economic factors for yourself. US had a deficit budget and the balance of trade was negatively skewed against US while the European Union had some of the seriously good parameters in exact contrast to that of the US's. The trade balance sheets looked healthy and strong standing on the near equal GDP.
During this period India, China, Russia and Brazil were making big strides in economic growth and Europe was gaining position in their trade partnerships shifting the forex currency in Euro's favor. At a time when their reserves were growing by leaps and bounds, US Dollar was sliding continuously which contributed to the conversion of their reserves into Euro, but partially.
How Does The Market React To This?
Euro/USD is by far the biggest forex pair which accounts for $1 trillion every trading day. With so many changes in the world economic scenario and the notional trades in between the two currencies still commanding 1/3rd of the currency market, the US dollar trended constantly over the years.
The firm trend may not be apparent in short term price charts but a relatively long period chart such as 2-3 years would clarify Euro's constant gain against USD. Till recently cross currency payments were, say for Japanese payments to Germany, first by converting Yen into USD and then USD into Euro. Now such a necessity doesn't arise for payments.
All these things mean that the trends are going to continue for long unless there is a strong reason.

Rollover in Forex Trading By: Jason Uvios
The rollover is the arrangement of artificially postponing the actual delivery settlement of a currency in position by normally a day. In actual practice, ideally all traders are required to take or give delivery of the currency they bought or sold (settlement) on the second business day after the deal was closed. But the actual practice differs by way of artificially extending the settlement day. But this rollover differs in the forex trading parlance fom that of stock trading.
It can be fairly well assumed that most of the forex trading accounts are leveraged with the broker having extended the trader a loan for the day which is the exposure limit. At the closing every day- theoretical closing; though- at 21:59 London time, traders need to close their position unless they actually want to take or give delivery of their positional currency. But due to the loan leverage the traders account will not be having that kind of capital that enables him to take delivery of the currency.
Brokers have a stated policy of closing all accounts at that precise time and almost instantaneously open a new account for the quantity of that currency pair at the corresponding rate. This means although the account has been closed theoretically, the positions are still open from the traders' perspective. This effectively means hat he traders do not have to take or give delivery nor do they have to payback the loan extended to them.
Broker, on the other hand charges an overnight interest for the amount rolled over. How is the differential interest calculated by the broker? Assume that you have a 1 lot position of euro/dollar with euro being your long position. If during the trading day the dollar appreciates by 25 pips and the broker rolled over your position to the next trading day at the close with dollar having further appreciated by another pip overnight, this 1 pip is the difference in interest between the two currencies. So you pay this 1 pip premium to the broker.
On the other hand if you were short on euro and long on dollars you would gain that differential interest amount. To put things in perspective, if you bought a currency and it gained overnight you are to benefit by that incremental differential and if the reverse were to happen, you have to pay this to the broker.
In actual practice, all rollovers and overnight interests are automatically calculated and credited or debited to your account by the broker. For tax purposes, IRS treats the interest gained or paid separately.

Forex Trading and the Holy Grail By: Richard Barker
If you've ever looked into 'forex' (foreign exchange) trading, you will have a good idea of the potential gains. You can become wealthy in a very short space of time, although it pays to remember that one person's gain is another person's loss. Remember the warning 'prices can go down as well as up'.
There are a number of brokers or spread betting companies through which you can trade. I'm going to give you some advice on maximising your chances of succeeding. You will face challenges along the way but if you persevere for long enough you may find yourself in a very positive situation. First and foremost, know what you are getting into. Read as much as you can about every aspect of trading, and remain objective with regards to the many opinions you will hear on how to go about it.
If you are spread betting then you will need to find a company that offers a competitive 'spread'. Shop around. Find out what a spread is - this is very important. Be very sceptical about trading systems that offer instant wealth. Trading methods that worked last year may have run out of steam in the current market.
Once a system becomes widespread enough then too many people know how it works. Lots of people start using it and any advantage is wiped out. You may end up slaving away for little or no profit at all.
There is one system that can potentially make you rich. It's called 'your system'. That's right. The one you developed and didn't tell anybody about. This can take a good deal of work to develop. There are numerous software packages available to help you monitor market patterns, and design your killer strategy. If you develop a strategy that works then keep it quiet!
In my experience the most consistently profitable trading technique is a method called 'skimming'. This involves placing many trades for small market movements which build your profits based on a considerable number of transactions. It's only possible for spread betters to profit from this if they are able to place bets with a tiny spread. This requires experience and a good knowledge of the markets. Make sure you are fully prepared. This is an intensive method - you didn't expect it to be easy did you?
I have one final recommendation which is extremely important. You may be raring to go but if you remember just this advice you will save yourself considerable amount of stress. The most important advice you will ever hear about trading is- 'only trade with money that you can afford to lose'.
'Is that all' you may ask. Talk to those who have lost the money they traded which they could not afford to lose. Beware anyone who suggests otherwise as they very probably have something to gain from your additional risk-taking. They don't care if you crash and burn, as long as they get their slice. If you are planning to win in the long term then limit your exposure to losses in the short term.

Picking the Best Forex Trading Program By: Caterina Christakos
Statistics have shown that 90% of new Forex investors fail, 5% break even, and 5% attain profits from trading. The main reason why so many investors fail is they do not have the proper tools needed to succeed in trading. While investing through a broker or trading program does not guarantee success, it greatly improves your chances, especially as a new investor.
Perhaps one of the main reasons the percentages of failure in the Forex market are so high is because new investors attempt to invest without any help. It takes years of practice to gain enough knowledge to be able to accurately read the signs and indicators that the market gives off.
Another potential reason why new investors fail is because they fail to realize that the market is open 24 hours a day. The market follows countries all over the world including the United States, Asia, and Europe. If you are located in the United States, the market in Asia is open and running. This gives the potential of the market changing while you sleep, leaving you unable to update your portfolio as needed for success.
A key to becoming a successful Forex trader is finding tools and services that aide you in making informed decisions. The internet allows investors to access an almost unlimited amount of information Whether it is a program, chart, or article, successful Forex traders rely on any reliable tools they can get their hands on.
Training Tutorials- Several types of online training tutorials are available for little or no cost. Typical training tutorials take you from the very basics to the more advanced portions of Forex trading. By reading, studying, and following the training programs as instruction, you gain knowledge and experience in the Forex market, which will help you make informed decisions later.
Simulated Trading- Simulated trading programs allow you to work within the actual Forex market without the risk of loosing your hard earned money in the process. Most simulated programs work in real time, allowing you to learn about the real market. Simulated programs often use paper money and work exactly the same as a real trade service. By gaining and losing as you would in the real market, you gain real world experience.
Statistic Analyzers- Programs are available that actually analyze information for you. When you are new to investing, the statistics and information may seem to be in gibberish. Statistic analyzers take the information and make it readable by even the newest investor.
Real Online Trading Programs- If you prefer to trade without the pressure of learning the trade, you may consider an online trading program. Online trading programs allow you to determine your settings, then the program controls your portfolio for you. Since programs do not rely on human emotion, profits are easily obtainable.
Whichever program that you choose to trade with, make sure that it has a proven track record and that it is a program that you will stick with. Trade based on a proven program not on emotion.

Making Money Using a Forex Trading Program By: Caterina Christakos
Investing in foreign currency, through relatively a new idea, is easily the most lucrative form of investing that exists today. The Forex market is the largest market in the world. It is daily volume averages around 1.8 trillion dollars. Forex currency trading allows investors to trade between two world currencies. Forex investors make realistic profits of one hundred percent plus per month.
However, it is necessary for new investors to make it a point to learn the strategies and information surrounding the market. This is what makes the difference in successful Forex traders, and those who fail. Depending on your situation, you may have the time and money to learn the technical aspect of the Forex market, however chances are if you are new to the market, you do not.
If you are new to Forex trading, you may have found that learning the basics needed to succeed may be a daunting task. The only real way to learn is to place yourself, and you money on the line as you learn the basics of the Forex trading system. This truly makes learning this new system a practice makes perfect situation. However, Statistics show that 95% percent of new investors who attempt to trade on the Forex market fail, meaning that you are potentially risking large amounts of money.
Another option is hiring a Forex trading professional to do the work for you. This will take some of the pressure off of you. The only flaw with this option is you are still placing large amounts of money into the market through a human. While a professional would have the knowledge to rely more on statistics and numbers, they are still human, and human emotion can alter the way trades are completed.
The only sure way a new investor can trade efficiently is by using a trading program. Trading programs not only rely on information rather then emotion, they have the potential to do all the work for you, eliminating the need for hours of studying to learn the basics of the Forex system.
FreedomRocks is an online trading system that does just that. Once you account is setup, you define the preset limits and instructions, and then sit back and watch the program do the work for you. At the end of the day you have a potential of making large amounts of money, without the risk of doing it yourself.
Money is made using the FreedomRock Forex trading system 2 ways. The first way is by buying low and selling high. For example, The Euro and Swiss value is going up, so your portfolio manager it will automatically buy shares of the USD/Swiss at the predetermined price, which you setup when you create your account. At the same time the program will sell the USD/Euro while it is up, locking in profit.
The other way of making money using the Forex trading system is by collecting on the interest each central banks pay on their currency. The United States federal reserve determines that the current interest is 5%, while the Swiss government determines that their interest rate is 1.5%. When you trade you are earning 5% on the US currency, and spending 1.5% on the Swiss currency.

Factors Involved In Becoming A Successful Forex Trader. By: Nathan Young
hese days everyone is talking about Forex trading and the great opportunity this activity represents for people willing to brake free from the corporate world and start working from home or any where else without losing their current lifestyle and even improving it.
Forex trading has changed dramatically in the last 10 years thanks to the technological advancements of the internet era. With real-time streaming technology and faster and more efficient computer systems, almost anything, from roses to FX trading, is available at the click of a button.
Some of the great reasons why Forex trading is a great way of entering the capital markets is that your trades are all commission-free and it has a low transaction cost. All the best forex brokers have these characteristics and even Mini FX traders (i.e., traders starting with accounts having a capital as low as $250), who are just starting in this field, can buy and sell currencies online always commission-free.
But one thing is to start Forex trading and other very different is becoming a profitable Forex trader. In order to become a profitable trader the new trader will immediately discover the imperative need of having an accurate knowledge of the markets and a good understanding of the forex technical indicators. Concepts as Moving Averages, Fibonacci levels, Bollinger Bands, etc; are the basic knowledge every trader must have.
But having a good knowledge of these concepts is not everything you need. Fear is one of the worst enemies of the Forex trader. In order to become a profitable trader it is essential that the person involved in trading understands that he must leave fear aside and stick to the trading plan he has constructed and arranged before, always understanding that losing trades happen to everyone and they are always part of a profitable trading career. A forex trader must learn how to profitable use his stops without heavily compromising the capital in his trading account, i.e., he must play safe but realizing that a calculated risk must be undertaken in order to maximize profits.
In short knowledge is the key to a successful trading career but it also must go along the proper psychological preparation of the trader in order to be able to tame the markets and become a profitable trader.

What Are The Order Types Used By Forex Traders? By: Nathan Young
During the last decade, Forex trading has become one of the most attractive business opportunities to ever hit people's interest around the world. Every day people from many walks in life is actively considering entering the profitable world of the currency markets due to its accessibility and trading characteristics.
One of the first things you will do once you decide you want to enter and learn about the forex markets will be to choose your forex broker and then download the free trading platform software from your broker website.
When you first open your trading station software, you will find that there are a number of ways to enter the market or, said in another way, there are a number of ways to place an initial order to buy or sell any currency pair.
One of these types of orders is what is called a "Market order"; this is an order to buy or sell a currency pair at the market price considering the instant that the order is received and processed (which is usually within seconds of hitting the "OK" button on your trading platform). When a market order is placed, you are simply saying "I'll buy or sell the currency pair at whatever price it is at when my order gets processed."
There is a different way to enter the market that is called an "Entry order"; this is an order to buy or sell a currency pair when it reaches a certain price target; which you should determine by using your knowledge of technical and fundamental indicators. In theory this can be any price. You could set an entry order for the low price of a time period, or the high price of the same time period'; it all depends on your intentions, to sell or to buy. As an example, one usual recommendation is that you should always set an entry order to be the same price as the 'open price" of the time period. When you place an "entry order" to buy, for example, you are simply saying "I want to buy this currency pair at a given future price and if it never reaches that price, I won't purchase the pair."
Stop and Limit orders are two different ways to exit a trade, automatically (i.e., without closing out your position via the click of your mouse or manually), after the trade is entered. And they are widely used as safety locks so you won't end losing everything in a bad trade. In short, you must always use stops and limits when trading the forex markets.
A "stop order" is used to stop losses. A "limit order" (recommended if you can't monitor your open trade) is used to redeem profits. Where these orders are placed, in relation to your open trade, depends on the direction of the entry order, this is; if you buy or sell.
Remember; a "stop order" is always placed below the current market value of that currency pair when you are in a long (buy) trade. And a "limit order" is always placed above the current market value of that currency pair when you are in a long (buy) trade.

Moving Averages Basics And How They Help FOREX Traders By: A. Pablo
With Forex trading becoming a more extended and desired occupation for lots of people around the world, living with the desire of working at home and still having the ability to gain a full time income, the need for accurate trading systems and techniques has become a major necessity for all these new forex traders.
Among one of the important concepts a new forex trader should know is what a Moving Average means, how it's calculated and what its use as a trading indicator is.
Moving Average is defined as a technical indicator that shows the average value of a particular currency pair over a previously determined amount of time. This means, for example, that prices are averaged over 20 or 50 days, or 10 and 50 min depending on the time frame you are using at the moment of your trading activity.
As an averaged quantity, MA's can bee seen as a smoothed representation of the current market activity and an indicator of the major trend influencing the market behavior.
This smoothing effect of the Moving Average is very helpful when the trader is looking for getting rid of the "noise" in the price fluctuations of the currency pair he is trading at the moment and a more precise emphasis in the trend direction is required.
The basic mechanics of how Moving Averages can tell you where the forex market is moving (up or down), at the moment of your analysis is by considering two different time frame Moving Averages and plotting them on the forex chart. It is very important that one of these MA is over a shorter time period than the other one; let's say one will be over a 15 days period and the other over a 50 days period. Most trading station software available by a number of brokers will let you do this plotting and much more.
Once you have plotted the two Moving Averages, you will notice points of crossover where the shorter time period MA will cross above the longer time period MA indicating an upward trend in the market, or if the crossing is below the longer period MA that will be an indication of a down trend in the forex market.
So from this simple concept you can commence to understand the basics of confirming trends when checking your forex charts during your trading hours.

The Fibonnacci Forex Trader. By: Adrian Pablo
As forex trading becomes a more extended activity among many people around the world; reliable price forecasting techniques that allow them to become profitable traders have turned into one of the most looked after trading "jewels" for new and experienced forex traders.
One of the best techniques you can find and use is called "Fibonacci Trading" . This forex trading technique is the basis of many forex trading systems used by a great number of professional forex brokers around the globe, and many billions of dollars are profitable traded every year based on this trading technique.
Fibonacci trading is directly related to the curious phenomenon of the existence of specific mathematical proportions that are prevalent in many places and structures in nature, as well as in many human made creations.
Fibonacci was the last name of an Italian mathematician and he is best remembered by his world famous "Fibonacci sequence", the definition of this sequence is that it's formed by a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers; 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 ...But in the case of currency trading what is more important for the forex trader is the Fibonacci ratios derived from this sequence of numbers, i.e. .236, .50, .382, .618, etc.
It is very probable that you have already observed a forex chart and the oscillating pattern prevailing no matter what time frame you are observing. Thanks to these observed patterns in the currency price charts, people started to think that maybe Fibonacci ratios could be applied to trading as a reliable indicator of future price movements.
And it was indeed a great discovery to find out that Fibonacci ratios described with great accuracy the currency markets price oscillations. This means that in fact, Forex traders can greatly benefit from this mathematical proportions due to the fact that the oscillations observed in forex charts, where prices are visibly changing in an oscillatory pattern, follow Fibonacci ratios very closely as indicators of resistance and support levels; maybe not to the last cent, but so close as to be really amazing.
Fibonacci price points, or levels, for any forex currency pair you may be trading at the moment can be calculated in advance as a forecast tool, so that the you as a forex trader will know when to enter or exit the market if the prediction given by the Fibonacci ratios technique you are using as a day trading system fulfills its predictions of resistance or support levels.

Developing A Successful Forex Market Strategy By: Jona
Nobody in their right mind would just jump into the forex market blindly. That would be even worse than attempting to pilot a 747 jet if you have never had flying lessons. Jumping in without a good understanding of the forex market is reckless at best, and you would save yourself a lot of time by simply lighting a match under your money. In order to get the gains and rewards that are very possible in the forex market, you need to study, lean, and understand how the market works, the ins and outs of forex currency trading, and the various factors that go into making an informed and intelligent trade decision.
Forex is probably the largest market on the planet and it is always changing, worldwide, 24x7. This aspect is one of the things that makes forex so exciting. With that kind of activity, it is not always accurately predictable, but you need to understand the market so that you can jump on profitable trades and minimize your losses in losing trades, which is all based on the strategy that you utilize.
You must understand that forex trading is a gamble, and like the advice offered to those who enter a typical Vegas hotel, never play with money you cannot afford to lose. There are no guarantees in the forex market, which means that you need to utilize all the tools at your disposal to ensure you have considered all factors that will impact a currency's value, both now and in the future. The forex strategy that you use needs to allow for the possibility that you will make losing trades. Every forex trader on the planet makes an occasional losing trade, this is part and parcel of this market, but your strategy needs to protect your assets in that way to minimize your losses and maximize your wins.
One component of any good forex trading strategy is to avoid putting all of your investments in one currency. Do you remember the old saying about not putting all your eggs in one basket? This is the same thing and there is a lot of wisdom there. If you spread out your investment amongst many different currencies, it is far less likely that your investment would be wiped out in a single unsuccessful transaction.
There are many moving parts involved with successful forex trading, as well as a virtual mountain of data that needs to be analyzed, interpreted, and forecast as to how that will affect a particular currency that you may want to trade. The most successful traders use a forex trading software package that can help them do the required analysis. Such software would do the lower level work of doing the intensive and gut-wrenching analysis. Based on the number of elements that should be considered that can affect a currency's value, trying to do work manually yourself is going to almost definitely be a losing proposition.
Many forex traders simply follow other forex traders. While this could be a strategy, can you see how and why it is not a good one? Other traders are not likely to share with you what they intend to do until after they have done it, and with the rapidly changing market, it is unlikely you could get in at the same forex rate that they did, which will minimize your income. The much bigger money is in doing the analysis and making your own trades, not by following others who have no incentive to tell you what they are going to do anyway.
Take the time to learn the forex market, since the financial rewards are huge, but make sure you also protect yourself by allowing for a potential loss.

How To Trade Forex Technical Analysis.Advice By: roman sadowski
You have traded Forex exchange market for quite a while now. You have read hundreds of Forex guides and ebooks or Forex trading advice widely spread over internet. Those gave you basic knowledge about forex. Now you know the terminology, rules, currency movement trends and all factors influencing whole Forex market.
There is a lot to take at once. But let me tell you something here,Forex is something people learn all their lives and still there is something left.
You have probably wondered many times before which tactic to take.
Will I rely on technical analysis?
Should I look at the bigger picture and consider all economic conditions?
Will I trade news for quick profits or maybe invest long term.
I believe you went through many demo trading accounts to try them out.
If you picked up your strategy and you decided to go and trade technical chart analysis here is so much else left to consider. At this stage your knowledge should extend to whole terminology including:
support, resistance, chart names. You should know about moving averages, Bollinger band, Fibonacci or Elliot wave theory, Pivot points etc. Now all you have to do is apply all the above rules on your chart and here we go happy pips. Well it is not as easy as it seems to be!
There is one piece of advice that we would like to give you.
Not all the rules apply to all the currencies. That is right. If you have had enough experience and spent thousands of hours watching charts moving you have probably noticed that almost every single combination of currencies have their own flings and this makes them difficult to predict. Not all pairs would create head and shoulders, double top or bottom to signal the potential major movement. Some of them will but that may mean nothing.
Another combination would not necessarily bounce back from 55 or 200 hours moving average or follow pivot points. Other will not create hammers to indicate diversion. All above rules would apply to successful technical analysis trading.
We strongly advise you to do your homework and research. Before you select certain rules for certain pairs make sure that there is a pattern to follow. Adjust moving averages, Play with a few values and backtrack to see where there is a rule that you could use in the future forex trade.
There are many examples to learn from. If you study eurjpy and euraud pairs you will see how different they are. Euraud seems to have a strong trend on daily charts where eurjpy has not got one.
Take also eurusd and we will see that there was strong head and shoulder with the bottom formed on 22 Jan 2008 and instead moving significantly up it did not. Compare the daily chart of eurchf which on the other hand follows nicely its double top and bottom pattern.
We encourage all beginner traders to consider those factors before trading real money.
Select your indicators to your pairs in the way they are most suitable for each one of them.
Make sure it is backtracked and there is evidence for such a selection.
Remember: plan your trade and trade your plan.

Beware Of The Typical Forex Trading Scam By: Ralph Nunes
It’s very easy for new forex trading investors to get taken in by some sort of forex scam or another. This can include just about any idea under the sun that scammers can come up with. Usually the realm of forex scams can include, software and e-books that ~guarantee’ a profit in the forex market, an unscrupulous market maker that spikes costumer accounts so they can get their fees, general false advertising, and even those with fake sites that just take your money and disappear.
The nature of the currency market tends to leave new investors vulnerable to such scams, simply because it fluctuates a lot and little is known about the market by the general population. It’s up to investors to educate themselves on forex trading, just as they would before making any other investment if they expect to do well. This includes being aware of common scams. In 2001 the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) released nine tips investors in the forex market should keep in mind when looking for a broker:
• Stay Away From Opportunities That are Too Good To Be True
• Avoid Any Company that Predicts or Guarantees Large Profits
• Stay Away From Companies That Promise Little or No Financial Risk
• Be Wary of Trading on Margin Unless You Know What That Means
• Be Wary of Those Claiming To Trade in the "Interbank Market" because Its ~Safer’
• Be Wary of Sending or Transferring Cash on the Internet, By Mail or Otherwise
• Scams Often Target Members of Ethnic Minorities
• Get the Company's Performance Track Record
• Anyone Who Won't Give You Their Background Isn’t Worth the Risk
Many forex scams, as is common with other types of scams, rely on getting dollar signs to appear in their victims eyes in order to pull off the scam. If at any point in the decision making process you start to feel yourself getting overly excited by the prospect of making what seems like easy money, then set your plans aside for the time being and come back to them later. You’ll be much calmer and in a better position to decide if the broker or deal you are interested in is really worth it.
One of the most common scams simply involves selling a product or system online that will ~guaranteed’ make you profits in forex trading. Be careful of online advertisements for these products, after all most of them contain information about the forex market that you can obtain by reading any other book on forex trading. It will give you information on the forex market if you are doing research, but it probably won’t give you the guaranteed secret to success.

A Short Introduction To Fibonacci Forex Trading By: Nathan Young
Fibonacci forex trading is the basis of many successful forex trading systems that are used by a great number of professional forex traders around the world. Trading systems based on this oenumbers sequence” are so successful that billions of dollars are earned every year by traders following its rules.
Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician and he is best remembered by his world famous Fibonacci sequence, the definition of this sequence is that it's formed by a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers; 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 ...But in the case of currency trading what is more important for the forex trader is the Fibonacci ratios derived from this sequence of numbers, i.e. .236, .50, .382, .618, etc.
Forex traders can greatly benefit from this mathematical proportions due to the fact that the oscillations observed in forex charts, where prices are visibly changing in an oscillatory pattern, are known to follow Fibonacci ratios very closely as indicators of resistance and support levels; maybe not to the last cent, but so close as to be really amazing.
Additionaly, one important thing to remember is that Fibonacci analysis is a leading indicator. What this means is that by learning the correct Fibonacci trading tactics and techniques you will know how to determine the most probable turning points in the market before the price gets there. Yes, you can know what the forex market will do in advance!
For example, one of the widely used Fibonacci ratios is the 0.382 ratio. As it can be easily seen on any forex chart, the currency prices are continually changing and they follow an oscillatory pattern with peaks and valleys. The limit of the peak is usually called a resistance level while the valley is usually called a support.
In order to find the 0.382 ratio level what you do is, first; measure the size of the drop or rise over your time of interest. Once you have that value you multiply this by 0.382. Now depending on what you are looking at, a rise or a drop on the price of the particular oecurrency pair” you are trading, you will add the last value you calculated to the total drop or subtract the value from the total rise.
Once you have the value you can then start planning the strategy you will follow in order to make a high probability profit from this valuable information. For the 0.382 ratio level calculated for a recent rise in the oecurrency pair” exchange price, your calculated level will be a highly probable support and for the case of a level calculated for a recent drop of the prices your level will be a highly probable resistance.
Many people tries to make this analysis overly complicated scaring away many new forex traders that are just beginning to understand how the forex market works and how to make a profit in it. But this is not how it has to be. I can't say it's a simple concept but it is quite understandable for any trader once he or she has grasped the basics and has had some practice trading using Fibonacci levels along with other secondary indicators that will help you to improve the accuracy of the entry and exit point for every particular trade.

Forex trading has entered the home and lives of many people around the world, both men and women; all of them coming from many walks of life. Being this a relatively new phenomenon in the department of alternative income opportunities.
It was only about ten years ago that the Forex market moved into our homes. And this was made possible only thanks to the invention and rapid spreading of the internet. The technology that made online forex trading possible.
Before the internet era, trading was an activity reserved only to the big players, banks, brokerage firms, in short; only wealthy people could aspire to enter the currency markets. Learn The 7 Characteristics A Good FOREX Trading System Must Have Before You Buy. By: Nathan Young
Nowadays Forex trading has become one of the favorite activities for many men and women around the world. This people is looking for a way of earning some extra money in their free time but many have realized that they have just found a profitable business that lets them earn a full-time income helping them keep their lifestyles, even working from home and in a significant number of cases even letting them improve their past lifestyles when they held full-time jobs.
But Forex trading is not an easy task; it is simple to enter a trade and let it run, but making yourself a profitable trader takes more than just willingness; it takes knowledge and a good forex trading system.
There are many companies and individuals out there offering you trading systems that promise to be the real thing and that will teach you how to earn tons of money. But you must be aware that not all of them are sincere and you should be ready to look for some specific characteristics good forex trading systems must have.
1. They must be willing to let you know part or the basics of their system for free. It is a good sign if they have a free course or seminar describing their methodology so you can decide if it's for you before you give them any money.
2. They must have a no questions asked guarantee of your money back; if at the end they fail to deliver on their promises.
3. They should offer some forms of continuing support and education after you make your purchase. It is a very good sign if they provide an online/email forum so that their clients can interact with one another and the developer of the trading system. Another good sign would be if they have a support phone number where you can reach them at during regular business hours.
4. You should be able to make an appointment to talk on the phone with the developer of the system if you wish. If you're paying good money for the system then you should have the right to speak to the developer. If not, go somewhere else for your trading system needs
5. The trading system they offer you should be recession-proof and go beyond the traditional linear models that are based mostly on past results. Ideally, the forex trading system you get should allow you to go with the market direction, wherever it's going, instead of hoping and believing it will go one way or another, and then find out it was all wrong.
6. The system should be given to you with software that performs the complex math behind it making it simple for you to use at any time and without strange formulas.
7. They must enthusiastically listen to your concerns about trading, what you wish to accomplish and answer your questions to your satisfaction. If you suddenly feel they are in the business only for your money, then you better move on. You want to make sure that the people selling you a Forex trading system is actually interested in a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship with their clients.

World Events and Wise Forex Trading. By: Andres Ferri
Forex trading has the great potential of becoming a profitable and fulfilling career that will let you have a lifestyle that few other lucrative activities in the world can offer to people from many roads in life and without asking any of those men and women for a diploma or some special certification.
But Forex trading is not easy; it may be simple to enter and place your first trade but becoming a profitable trader is a different thing. You will need to acquire the right knowledge and techniques in order to understand and know when to enter or leave a trade always fulfilling the main objective every trader must have; making money.
There are two kinds of analysis you can perform on the Forex markets. They are known as technical analysis and fundamental analysis. It is common that traders tend to divide themselves into "technical" and "fundamentalists". Each group devoting themselves to the main tools each kind of analysis gives them.
Technical forex traders base their trading on the analysis of the charts and the number of indicators derived from the plots of price oscillations and patterns. Meanwhile Fundamentalists traders base their trading mostly on the fundamental numbers and economical indicators of countries economies. Though, even if divided, both tendencies tend to complement each other to some degree.
In this article I will place myself on the "fundamentalists" side and focus on one of the situations every forex trader must be aware of and don't let the events involved affect his trading efforts.
This risky situation is that when unprecedented chaotic world events start to develop as the trading day goes on. The power of the media (tv, internet, printed) can magnify and sometimes it may even distort the events taking place and impacting the trading journey in a significant manner. The result of this magnification and rapid diffusion of the news about the series of unfavorable events taking place is an increased atmosphere of fear, confusion and uncertainty in the trading world. And fearful traders are not prone to make the best trading choices because they have given themselves to panic and emotional reactions instead of reasoned and intelligent decisions.
If you need to have more specific examples of these kind of events you can search a bit inside your memories and consider the impact of just a few types of unfavorable chaotic world events as the political upheavals or corporate scandals of companies as; Enron, WorldCom, or of people as the case of Martha Stewart trial, etc. There is also the example of the terrorist attacks on Sep 11 in New York, March 11 in Spain, etc. Also natural disasters: tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, freezes, droughts, hurricanes along with wars can cause great disruption in a trading journey.
In short, every forex trader should be totally sure that his method of trading has built-in safe guards (stops, limit orders) to prevent a major financial loss from his trading account in case any of the unfavorable events I mentioned above ever takes place. And being realistic, many of those events will surely happen in the future.

Boost FOREX Trading Profits Using These 3 Simple Guidelines By: Roxanne Manning
FOREX trading is nothing more than direct access trading of different types of foreign currencies. In the past, foreign exchange trading was mostly limited to large banks and institutional traders. Recent technological advancements have made it so that small traders can also take advantage of the many benefits of FOREX trading by using the various online trading platforms.
FOREX markets possess unique attributes that offer unmatched potential for profitable trading in any market or any stage of the business cycle. For starters, FOREX trading boasts a 24-hour market, giving traders the chance to take advantage of profitable market conditions anytime. Secondly, the FOREX market is the most liquid market in the world. FOREX traders can enter or exit the market whenever they want, during almost any market condition. There also exist minimal execution barriers or risk and no daily trading limits.
For all the advantages of the FOREX market, one glaring weakness emerges. The FOREX market is seen as unregulated although the operations of major dealers, like commercial banks in money centers, are regulated under the banking laws. The daily operations of retail FOREX brokerages are not regulated under any laws or regulations specific to the FOREX market. Many of these types of establishments in the United States, don't even report to the I.R.S. To make the most of the explosive potential of successful FOREX trading, individuals should follow these guidelines.
1.Determine the quality of the broker institution you choose.
Unlike equity brokers, FOREX brokers are usually attached to large banks or lending institutions because of the large amounts of capital that is required. FOREX brokers should be registered with the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) as well as regulated by the Commodity Future Trading Commission (CFTC)
2. Request a free trial.
Before you commit to any broker, be sure to request free trials so that you can test their different trading platforms. Brokers usually provide technical as well as fundamental commentaries, economic calendars and other research as a means of assisting you. Basically, a quality broker will provide everything one needs to succeed.
3.Monitor two financial meetings to provide insight into the upcoming FOREX market.
Two important meetings FOREX traders should watch for are the federal Open Market Committee and the Humphrey Hawkins Hearings. By reading the reports and examining the commentary, FOREX fundamental analysts can get a better understanding of any and all long-term market trends it also allows short-term traders to be able to profit from extraordinary happenings.
